An Exploration Of The Roe V. Wade

On January 22ed, 1973,the American Federal Court held a session and handed down a verdict that individual charged state law called Roe v. Wade .The prosecutor named Roe ,and the defendant---the attorney of Texas called Wade ,so the case named Roe v. Wade or ROE .It related the problem that whether women have the right of abortion. The case touched the debate between women chosen right , the foetus existence right and many other political problems. It touched off a controversial for a long time and violence debate . Since it is so, someone says "Roe v. Wade broke up America, it will cause a civil war".As a event in the American modern history, it became the focus and meet many people's eyes. Though more than twenty years gone, more and more scholars studied it, more and more works ,papers related it. The problem of the women's abortion right touched in the judicial case attacks the freedom concept value of American people, influence every social sides of the United States. It is involved American women's equality and freedom, but also involved the religion and democratic political system. It is a judicial case, but when we analyze it ,we found the social and culture source, we can hold the key of the U.S democratic system. We even found it is useful to study the American modern history especially the two hundred years history.The paper is not easily state the detail of the Roe v. Wade, but take our focus point on the background and the influence of the case that national scholars seldom remark .It is try to analyze the case cause and know all the case system.The works has three parts. The summarize part tell the Roe v. Wade itself . The first part starts starts from the Roman Catholicism convension idea that the follower hate abortion.Through the religion dogma and the custom in the part ,I try to excavate the history source.Reviewing American abortion law and abortion crime, I intend to display the reason why women against the law. The second is the focus in the works. The main goal is showing the state of the American women movement before Roe v. Wade: feminist united with the physician, which was the effect and the meaning the union set off ;The third is the case extending one ,I footed the angle on the United Federal Court officers ,I found the case is not a judicial case, but also a magnifying glass and a blasting fuse that outrage political and social problems. The fourth one also the last one hints the active and the passive influence that Roe v. Wade cause .
