Since 1980s, "The farmer-worker boom" took place in the process of modern society urbanization inevitably, gradually has been accepted by the people. Just when all social circles focusing on the problems of "three-dimensional rural issues", "floating children", which were caused by large-scale population flow. The accumulated problem of left-behind children in countryside became more and more serious. So when left-behind children in countryside become concerns for people, the issue was soon occupied the research focus of education, sociology, demology and psychology.Based on the theory of positive psychology, The study try to probe into the socialization and it's protective factors of left-behind children in countryside through comparison and longitudinal studies using classical social psychology research method including participant observation, interview, scaling method, and life course theory for reference as well.According to the nature of research method, the article is divided into three parts. through semi structured interview and participant observation, the first part of qualitative study conducted a deep research on the social adaptation of those left-behind children living in different countryside, including interpersonal relationship, behavior, emotion control, psychological support and confidence for the future, the investigation shows that left-behind circumstance doesn't cause problem behavior for certain, the social adaptation situation of left-behind children in countryside was determined by dangerous and protective factors existing in left-behind circumstance. In the part of confirmative study, through the scale investigation of more than 1000 students from An Hui, He Nan, Hu Nan, and Shan Dong etc., a further quantitative analysis was made on the adaptive situation and its protective factors of the left-behind children in countryside. The results indicated a significant difference between normal children and those left-behind children in countryside in terms of self-esteem, locus of control and social adaptation. And the two positive mental characteristics: high self-esteem and internal locus of control play a significant role in protecting the social adaptation of those left-behind children in countryside. Based on the life story of YangYang and BeiBei, the part of life-course study made an exploration of the constructive and restrictive function of society transformation on the life course of those left-behind children in countryside and the process of children constructing their own life course from a dynamic angle of view.
