Since the 1980 s,the deepening of the reform and opening-up policy and the accelerating pace of social development promote the social industrialization and urbanization and also demand a lot of social labor. Therefore,a large number of rural surplus labor force have swarmed into the city,which gave birth to the special social group that is known as city construction group of the migrant workers. They play a very important role in the development of city construction, but because of many constraints,their children cannot follow into the city and enjoy the urban students’ treatment. They could only stay in rural areas. The children like that are called “Left-behind Children ". Targeting at the rural Left-behind Children,this paper focuses on the analysis of the ideological and moral problems existing in the rural Left-behind Children as well as the reasons of these problems and puts forward the countermeasures on solving the problems.The first chapter,the overview of the rural Left-behind Children. Introducing the rural Left-behind Children from the background,concept and status quo and defining the concept of the rural Left-behind Children,etc.The second chapter,the problems of the rural Left-behind Children’s ideology and morality and the reason analysis of these problems. Pointing out the problems including the distorted values,unsound personality development,low moral quality,common weariness,etc. and analyzing the reasons from three aspects family,school and society.The third chapter,the countermeasures on solving the problems of the rural Left-behind Children’s ideology and morality. Putting forward that it is necessary to strengthen family education,highlight school education and optimize the social environment in which the rural Left-behind Children grow up.
