Research Of China-European Comprehensive Strategic Partnership's Regime Construction

Building a mechanism of China-EU bilateral relations has now become a notable feature and trend. This passage briefly reviews process of China-EU regimes construction. I believe that after many years of operation and practice, the current mechanism construction have some characteristics. The statement mechanism, the dialogue mechanism, the treaty mechanisms and the organizational mechanism have shown a good momentum of development. It effectively promotes the normal development of China-EU relations and bilateral economic and trade growth. Furthermore it improves the strength of the two sides to enhance the international status and the international influence of China and the EU.At the same time, we should also notice the mechanisms in building have all sorts of shortcomings and problems currently. There are some influencing factors: influence of the United States, the EU Member's policy toward China, "asymmetry" in the China-EU partnership, the dual nature of the EU policy toward China and the mechanism's characters itself and so on. Reflecting on building a mechanism for further development, we can sum up a lot of experience and lessons. China and the EU should take effective measures to improve the operational efficiency of bilateral mechanisms; they should learn from other international mechanisms for bilateral relations; they should make up the China-EU political and security mechanisms of construction to reach the balance; properly deal with the United States' influence; through strengthening of Sino-EU bilateral, multilateral mechanisms construction to build a chain of two-way interactive effect; China should grasp the principle of sovereign equality and non-mandatory to reduce the unfairness. Thus we can put forward an effective response. It can be foreseen that with the globalization and the multi-polarization of the world, China and the EU will have more common strategic interests and aims.
