On The Principles Of Truth And Value Of The Scientific Concept Of Development

The Third Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of CPC clearly put forward the Scientific Concept of Development which calls for people-oriented, comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development. This development concept is concentrative manifestitation of the Marxist's world outlook and methodology on the development, the important guiding principle of China's economic and social development and the major strategic thinking of upholding and implementing socialism with Chinese characteristic.From the analysis of historical materialism, this article reveals that historical materialism is the basis of the Scientific Concept of Development, further clarifing that the Scientific Concept of Development is the succession and development of historical materialism, logically unavoidable. On this basis, this article analyses the evolution and development practice of the western development concepts,and scientifically summarizes the Chinese development practice, therefore ,this concept's generation has objective and inevitability of historic development. the Scientific Concept of Development as the inheritance and innovation of social development theory of the historical materialism, on the methodology, also embodies the basic Marxist principle that truth and value is an organic unity.On the premise of respecting for and grasping the laws ,It permeates with the massess of people and their fundamental interests;reflects the organic integration of the pursuit of scientific development and realization of people-oriented, and is the unity of the principles of truth and value.The significance of the theory is on revealing the nature of things, futher guiding the practice. Comprehensively grasping scientific meaning and spiritual essence of the Scientific Concept of Development demands we must deeply understand and seriously practice the unity of truth and value principles. This has great practical significance on building well-off society, proper handling social contradictions in the transformation period, and building socialist harmonious society. Therefore,current and future important task is upholding the unity of truth and value principles in implementing the Scientific Concept of Development, Importantly getting the two unifing into a party and the state's lines, principles and policies,implementing the the people-centered reality practice,and running through the building of systems, and then enhancing consciousness and firmness of implementating the Scientific Concept of Development.
