On Institutional Support In Moral Construction

Moral construction is important component of socialism spiritual civilization construction. We have made substantial progress on moral construction in our country since reform and opening. In the meantime, The phenomenon of moral deviation from the norm also has appeared in the moral domain, which displayed with some prolbems, such as the lost of the moral ideal, deviation of the moral rule and the disorder of the moral action. For a long time, we have been putting emphasis on moral education in moral construction. When moral problem and crisis take place, we always think moral education is not enough , but regard the social institution and system as a precondition that is no need to be discussed and queried . In fact, lacking institutional support in moral construction has led to the condition of moral at present to a great extent. Therefore, in oder to improve current moral condition, promote the spiritual civilization construction in our country, strengthening research on institutional support in moral construction is significant.Starting from the concept of moral construction, this paper generalies the content and characteristic of moral construction.This paper thinks that the moral construction is constituted of the construction of moral theory, moral thought, moral ethos and moral ideal. Moral construction is a complicated system which has muti-layer main factors, including social environment, content, method and approach . This paper spreads out exposition from social environment, theory construction, moral education and operation mechanism of moral construction. Based on the analysis of content and function of institutional support in moral construction, this paper inquiries into the necessity and possibilities of institutional support in moral construction, points out the main approaches to moral construction in our country is enforcing the institutionalization of moral principle and rule, setting up moral guarantee mechanism, strengthening and standardizing the social basic institution and setting up the operation mechanism of moral construction . The aspects of institutional support in moral construction to which much attention should be paid: one is that the sure of institutions are not keys to all locks in moral construction; second is to enforce ethic appeal to institutions; the third is grasping the reasonable limit of the institutionalization of moral principle and ruleStudying institutional support in moral construction, involves many important theoretical and practical issues at all times and in all over the word. For this, this paper tries to combine history and reality, theory and practice, analyses institutional support in moral construction by means of Marxist position, standpoint and method .
