CPC's Safeguarding Women's Rights In Marital And Family Life Since The Reform And Open-time

Families are the cells of society and their prosperous are the staunch foundation of a stablised society; marriage is the core of a family and a stable marriage is the foundation of a happy family. To protect women' s interests at married families is of decisive importance for the building of civilized families, the promotion of a stablised and harmonious society. Since China' s reform and opening to the outside world, the economical and social alternations serve certain blow on women' s interests that way that had been under sound protection before. Consequently, The Communist Party of China, starting from the new situation, enhances women' s interests at married families from the following three aspects: First, insisting on the integration of law and moral regulation to safeguard their interests in such a transitional period, including modifying and improving the law of marriage; strenthening a moral support for these married women' s interests in this period through the construction a marriage morality. Second, implementing the course of anti-family violence to safeguard their habeas corpus interests, including leading the formulation ot anti- family violence law; enhancing the legal aid to guard against that violence; giving full play of the function of nongovernmental organizations in social relief to safeguard their rights. Third, supporting such program as genital health to protect women's health both physically and psychologically, including bringing genital health program into the strategy of family planning; bringing this program into national law rectification; and, starting from the interests of public, providing an all-round genital health service and strengthen the cooperation with international organizations in that area.
