| This thesis is base on some files of collection of essays of some Korean Scholars,such as Park Ji-won,Park Je-ga,ect and the envoys' journey to China in Ming-Qing and Journeys to northern China.Besides,I have referred to collection of essays,the factual records of the Scholars in Ming-Qing Dynasty,The Annals of The Choson Dynasty and The Daily Records of Royal Secretariat of Chosun Dynasty as well as other documents.The paper focuses on the communication and writing of the scholars of Korea,envoys,learners who had visited China and western missionaries so as to inquire into the west leaming's propagation to Korea from 17th century to the early 19th century and its influence.Furthermore,it is expected to uncover the main trend of Chinese and Korean culture in Ming-Qing Dynasty at the same period and the impacts which the west learning propagated from China to Korea have had on Korea.The whole thesis is divided into three chapters:Chapter 1.Ways of the western leaming's propagation to Korea.At first,it specifically probed into some historical facts including the ways and contents of communication between Korean envoys and the learners of Ming—Qing Dynasty from 17th century to the early 19th century against the background of the gradual propagation from the west to the east, especially their mutual communication on the thoughts and feelings,which were recorded in the collection of essays of some scholars and other files.Last but,not least,the thesis also talks about the ways and contents of the communication between emissaries and the western missionaries,what they have seen and heard and the process of learning western culture.It presents their ways and contents obtaining western relics and books translated into Chinese. On the other hand,it analyses ways of the spread of western learning into Korea.Chapter2.The development of western learning in Korea.Firstly,it discusses and analyzes westem technology and books translated into Chinese, which involved the application,carving,propagation of astronomy,calendar calculation, medical science and western implements.In addition,it talks about how Koreans treat western culture after the arrival of western learning.The recognizing about western learning can be classified into three types:overall accept,overall exclusion,only accept the western Technology.Chapter3.Western learning's influences on Korea.On one hand,it describes the development of Catholic in Korea and discusses Korean scholar's understanding and practice of Catholic.On the other hand,it focuses on the effects of the development of western learning in Korea by describing the development of Korea's Real-learning. |
