In the beginning of 20 centuries, the old China Empire was forced to start law reformation,Hoping save the regime which was placed in jeopardy by transplanting the law of west on a large scale. The copyright legislation was open-minded under this historical setting. On December 18 , 1910,'The Law of Copyright of the Qing Dynasty'was promulgated. This is the first special Copyright Law in Chinese history. Its promulgation is indicating that the copyright protection has been brought into country legislation.The promulgation of'The Law of Copyright of the Qing Dynasty'was under a lot of factors'combined actions, such as, the influence of traditional copyright concept, appealing of the publish and intellectual in the homeland, even powerful diplomacy pressure from both American and Japan. My thesis'object of study is'The Law of Copyright of the Qing Dynasty, and I try to analyze its advantages and disadvantages in content through its coming background. And the problems in transplantation of the law of west are also discussed, expecting to give some help for rich and perfecting our now available copyright system.
