Copyright is the right of the author to have his works, including property rights and personal rights.Copyright is a type of intellectual property.The copyright system is a standard about the copyright law and customs which is formed under certain historical conditions.Copyright is an important kind of intellectual property right, which has significant effect on human civilization communication.Anno Octavo Annae Reginae,the first copyright law in the world, was published in 1710.Subsequently, the European countries and the United States, Japan and other countries have established a system of copyright.This paper studies the copyright system in the late Qing Dynasty from 1840 to 1910.This is a special period in the late Qing Dynasty experienced thousands of years with changing.In order to maintain the rule,the Qing government had to conform to the trend.
