China's modern procuratorial system is root from Yushi supervisory system in ancient China. The main role of Yushi system is to consolidate the feudal autocracy, maintain discipline, and keep the officials honest. It's main duty, however, is to supervise the implement of law, to uniform the law, to rectify lawless officials, and also, to participate and supervise the major trials of both central and the local judicial departments. It functions somewhat similar to the current prosecution system. The supervisory system in Ming Dynasty plays an important role in China's cultural heritage. It contains a lot of experience, wisdom and innovation. Therefore, to research the Yushi supervisory system has both academic value and practical significance. Based on all above, after comparative study of leadership, power using, mechanism design, check-up, and management systems and extract profitable elements, this text puts forward its own reform proposals for modern prosecution system.
