As one of the statutory legal evidences, the identification conclusion is playing an important role in lawsuits because of its particular status and value, and thus has been widely concerned, especially in criminal litigations. Presently in our country, there exist problems of supervision deficiency and legislative oversight in the system of criminal identification, of which the perfection has become urgent. It is necessary to have a general acquaintance to the historical transformation of criminal identification system, and to make an analysis on the pros and cons of both Mainland Chinese and Britain-US legal systems. It's in this way can we avoid the negative sides and seek the positive ones when we are trying to improve our identification system. And that's how we make this system suitable for our country as well as consistent to the general trend of our judiciary reform. It can also help drawing appropriate factors from other countries. To sum up, in this way can we realize the supreme goal of the criminal identification system, that is, justice and efficiency. To perfect this system, the first to do is to set up a value objective of the criminal identification institution, and the second to establish a scientific identification institution and a rational supervision system. Besides, it is necessary to improve the identification legislation and to balance out the relation of interior and exterior of the identification system. Only through these efforts can we bring our identification system onto the right path in its process of development and perfection.
