Constitution of the United States in 1787, only a brief glossary of 7000, after 200 years of development, the constitutional text has not been modified, but an increase of 27 amendments to it. The Constitution of the United States has maintained a relatively high degree of stability. In this paper, I have used the methods such as historical research, comparative study on the Constitution of the United States, from the three areas to explore the reasons for the stability of the U.S. Constitution. The first part of this paper is about the basis of the stability of the U.S. Constitution .including the ideological basis, legal basis, and cultural foundation, the basis of practice and the needs of the development, so the United States Constitution is not a product of pure theory, the stability of the U.S. Constitution is based on an integrated basis, with deep social roots. The second part is about strict rationality of the constitution-making process . It is through this rational and rigorous process to develop a mature and full of "flexible" constitution. The third part is about the separation of powers and checks and balances, which provides technical support of the stability of the Constitution. In the last, I have included some enlightenment of the stability of the Constitution of the United States and pointed out some limitations.
