Study On The United Front In A Harmonious Socialist Society

On the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Hu Jintao, as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made a new historical exposition on the united front, which materialized another great innovation of the theory of united front. Great theoretical achievements have been achieved, which provided powerful ideological weapon for promoting the innovation of the united front, developing and strengthening the united front under the new situation in the new millennium. On the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party, the new concept "to build a harmonious socialist society" was raised explicitly for the first time, which strongly emphasized that "it is the inexorable requirements for the consolidation of its status and the realization of the historic mission as the ruling party to create a situation in which all people are well positioned, do their best and live in harmony. " The Sixth Plenary of the Sixteenth CPC Central Committee has made decisions on some important issues concerning building a harmonious socialist society, which has clearly elaborated that a harmonious society is an essential attribute of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The understanding of socialist essence has been deepened and distilled. The Great theoretical achievements of the united front develops with the times. The concept of building a harmonious socialist society meets the objective needs of our times. However, facing the trend of accelerated economic globalization and fierce competition in overall national strength, what new situations will occur, how to deal with them, how to display their respective advantages to the full and how to grow stronger, all these issues need considerations. This thesis objectively analyzes the new situations the united front is facing, the unique advantages the united front bears in building the harmonious socialist society and the relationship between the socialism and the united front by applying the great theoretical achievements on the united front at a new historical starting point. It aims at a dancing the united front to the new era, strengthening and expanding the united front, building a steady and harmonious society. The author deeply believes that the stability and unity of our country will pave the way for the development of the harmonious socialist society , and a harmonious social environment will also definitely promote the development of all the other causes. Only in this way can it lay the foundation for the steady development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
