| Socialist system is a brand new system of the communist party of China, we require continuous exploration and practice cause we don’t have successful experience for reference on the construction of socialist road. Nowadays, the whole world is in the period of great revolution and adjustment, there are new changes to the world pattern, new situation to the international comparison, new features to the global culture exchange, and the competitions in overall national strength and power is more intense, all of these bring new opportunities and challenges to the development of China.United front work is the special work under the leadership of the communist party of China. As the most extensive political union, United front can unite all the forces that can be united, mobilize all positive factors, enhance unity and cohesive forces. Therefore, in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the United front has unique advantage and can play a tremendous role. At present, how to unite and lead the masses to accept the leadership of the communist party of China consciously, how to make concerted efforts to the communist party of China and build socialism with Chinese characteristics together is the important task which should be solved serious by United front department.This paper will start from the analysis of connotation and development history between the united front and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and discuss the internal relations between them. Secondly, after the study about the literature material, combination of some examples of united front work in jiangsu province, this paper expounds the united front in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the process from two aspects which are the unique advantages and challenges of the united front in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the process. At last, this paper analyses the functions that the united front in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in six aspects which are social integration, political participation, democratic consultation, education and guidance, coordination relationship. |
