Since the reform and opening-up, mass media in China has developed fast. Especially after the 16th National Congress of Communist Party of China which made a decision on striving great efforts to promote culture industry and culture undertakings, mass media technology addressing rural areas and nation changed our life style, working and thinking measures with a great renewal and spread speed. It also takes a huge impact on the economic flourish, social stability and people's mentality health.The influence of mass media to the society will be reflected in the shaping and developing process of people's thought, character and ideology, which will give a dual, both positive and negative infection to the political thoughts education. The positive one is the diffuse of a great deal obverse, scientific and reasonable information provides more advantage, shortcut and widely conditions and methods for people to complete a full development. The negative factors are as follows: some information gives negative message, mass media is immorally used and illegally implemented, the direction of people's decision-making is warped and the understanding and preference of people are confused by media. In the reality positive and negative factors always occur simultaneously. What infections will arises lie on the contents and the guidance to the populace of mass media rather than the form of media itself.With the development of science, technology and social economy, the infection of mass media on the political thoughts education will persist and deepen continuously. In the new age if we want the political thoughts education get active effect, we must take full advantage of the favorableness factors and resist and eliminate the negative affects. Therefore we must make mass media play an important role in the political thoughts education through elevating the people's stuff, innovating the systems and measures of media education, and guiding educate justice and differentiate ability.
