On The Influence And Countermeasures Of The Mass Media On The Politics Education

The importance and influence of mass media like TV, newspaper, radio and internet appears more and more obviously nowadays in the open information environment. With the special advantages, mass media changes the mode of thinking; restructures the idea of values; mergers the structure of world culture; and enrich the public culture life. As some experts said, the essence of media influence is that it can mark the social cognition, social judgment, social decision and related social behavior by its media path. The mark reflects in the field of Politics Education in our country inevitably. As a special carrier of Politics Education, mass media brings immeasurable influence for the way of broadcasting and its effort. Especially, by the development of new era, the universality and plurality of modem media brings the opportunity and challenge for Politics Education. Then, it will be an important topic to discuss how to carry on Politics Education by using the carrier of mass media.Mass media is an important tool of mass communication. In deed, Politics Education also belongs to the definition of communication; the only difference is that it broadcasts the value of socialist ideological system. Therefore, there is some internal connection between Politics Education and Mass Communication. This paper recognizes the function of politics education and social cultivation which mass media has, by taking the theory of Communication as the starting point and obeying the basic theory and principles for this study. Meanwhile, by analyzing the different characteristics of modern media and Politics Education in new era, it discusses the influence mass media brings to the Politics Education, and research into the strategies and methods for improving the effort of it.Concerning about the connection between the theory and practical problems, and starting from the relationship of similarity between structure mode of mass communication and communication mode of Politics Education, this paper analyzes the consistency of these two as the position of carrier, and explain the inevitability that mass media does have the function for helping the Politics Education. Then, based on the function mass media has and the important elements in the process of communication, it researches into the efforts modern mass media does towards Politics Education in different edges. At the end, it raises the preliminary structure of Politics Education Mode by using the method of arguing pro and con.
