On The Drug Crime Of Golden Crescent And Its Effects On Xinjiang

This paper analysed the drug profiles and main drug traffic lines of "Golden Crescent" area from the perspective of criminology while taking the drug trafficking lines as a starting point. Via analyses the social and physical environment of the drug- producing area such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran, drug-transit countries - the Central Asian countries and the drug-consuming countries - Europe and the United States, found the possible specific reasons for the shifting of drug traffic lines in these areas and its possible impact on the drug-related crimes in Xinjiang , then based on the study mentioned above, proposed some effective countermeasures that would work for controlling the penetration of drugs from the "Golden Crescent" to Xinjiang.Main purpose of the study is, via analyses the shifting of the drug traffic lines in "Golden Crescent" area , to clarify the transforming process of"Central Asian"countries gradually from drug-transit country to drug-consuming and drug-producing countries, to prevent the potential threat from "Golden Crescent" area become a real one for Xinjaing in the near future.
