Work Style Research Of The Communist Party Of China Since Reform And Opening-up Policy

The theory of work style construction is a clear mark that makes the Communist Party of China different from any other parties in the world. The Third Plenary Session of the 11th National Congress of the CPC, held in December of 1978, marks a new era of reform and opening up to the whole world as well as of the Party construction boosting the improvement of the work style. Since then, the supreme leaders of the CPC such as Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zeming and Hu Jintao, have been all the time making efforts to attach great importance to the Party's work style construction, of which the inherent law and characteristics in different periods were studied consistently. The dissertation explores and reflects the background, development and achievements of the Party's work style construction since 1978.The dissertation covers five parts. The first part discusses the significances of the Party's work style construction since the reform and opening-up policy in 1978. It is held that the work style is an attraction to unite the Party and the people, a guarantee to keep the Party's advanced nature and improve continuously its executive ability, a driving force to promote social improvement, a must for the Party to perform the practice against corruption in the new periods and situations. The second part studies the main achievements in the Party's work style construction since then. A new style of "emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts" and a new model of the style construction have been established; and meanwhile the contents of the style construction have been enriched. The third part probes into the experience obtained from the Party's style construction. They are as follows: sticking to the Party's leadership and governing the Party strictly; persisting in the co-practice of education and discipline restraining; upholding the style of leaders' incorruption and self-discipline and good examples setting; performing the on-whole supervision and improving the mechanisms. The fourth part firstly explores the main problems existing in the Party's style construction such as ideological problems, problems of study attitudes and work attitudes, problems in performing official duties, problems of bribery and corruption, problems of leaders' behaviors and conductions. Then in this part it simply analyzes the causes and factors affecting the Party's style construction during the thirty years. The fifth and last part concludes the prospects of the style construction. The Party should perform the style construction in the perspective of scientific concept of development, pay great attention to the improvement of the Party's image and combine with the fight against the corruption all over the world.This paper is characterized by studying the Party's work style together with the historic tasks, style performance and practice of socialist modernization in the process of the 30-year reform and opening-up to the whole world.
