On June,the 22nd year of the Kangxi's reign(1683 A.D.),the Qing Dynasty and the Zheng Group started a fierce fighting in Penghu waters.After seven days of fierce combat,Qing troops gained the final victory.The outcome of the sea battles directly caused the unconditional surrender of the Zheng Group.Thus it could be seen that the Qing's victory at Penghu Islands played a deciding role in the process that Qing Dynasty reunified Taiwan.First,this essay makes a comparative analysis of the Qing and the Zheng's strength from three aspects:economy,politics and military.Then,the essay attempts to reveal the change of the situation around the sea battles at Penghu and describe the whole process of the battles from the analysis of military strategies.By this,I will find the reason why the Qing troops must win and the Zheng troops must lose.Meanwhile, the essay will reveal the inevitability and regularity of national unity at that time.Basic Structure:Introduction:Explain the purpose of the essay,introduce the analysis methods and the history data I will use,review the correlated researches.Chapter one,background of the naval battles at Penghu:Make a comparative analysis of the Qing and the Zheng's Strength from three aspects:economy,politics and military.Chapter two,the Qing troops' preparation before they attacked Taiwan:Introduce the Qing's preparation before attacking Taiwan from five aspects:strategy,soldier and general,military training,reward and punishment,intelligence.Chapter three,difference of strategy to attack Taiwan between Shi Lang and Yao Qi-san:Re-understand the political struggles between Shi Lang and Yao Qi-san through analyzing the Qing's decision-making system.Chapter four,process of the sea battles at Penghu:Try hard to describe the process of the sea battles from an all-around point of view by way of providing self-made combat analysis charts.Chapter five,Penghu sea battles' influence on the Zheng's surrender to the Qing Dynasty:The Qing government insisted using both encirclement and pacification policy to the Zheng after Penghu sea battles.The Zheng Group finally unconditionally surrendered under internal and external pressures.The Qing government was able to reunify Taiwan peacefully and the sea battle at Penghu had decisive effects on it.Conclusion:Summarize the full essay and analyze the reason why the Qing troops must win and the Zheng troops must lose.
