Employment discrimination has become a world wide issue and people are paying more attention to it especially the sex-discrimination in recent years. UK has a high employment rate in western countries with its legislation and legal practice going on quite well, so it appears to be very important to learn more about its legal system in anti-sex discrimination in employment field.This article particularly introduces the legal system of British anti-sex discrimination in employment field, from the background, legal regime, characteristics to deficiency, and hopes to establish some use of reference to China. There is great similarity among legal system in anti-sex discrimination and other fields such as age, disability and race, hence learning the legal system in sex discrimination would do great help to understand the whole anti-discrimination legal regime. This article is constructive in exploring the legal system of anti-sex discrimination in employment field.There are five parts in this article and the brief introduction is as follows:Part one: Brief introduction of legal system on British anti-sex discrimination inemployment field. This part gives a brief description of international and domesticbackground and then talks about the frame of legal system on this issue.Part two: Sorts of British anti-sex discrimination in employment field. The emphasis ofthis part is to introducing the forms of British anti-sex discrimination in employment fieldafter wholly summing up and it includes sex, equal pay, pregnant and so on.Part three: Important issues of legal system on British anti-sex discrimination inemployment field. The purpose of this part is to make clear four important issues which isthe characteristic part in legal system of British anti-sex discrimination in employmentfield.Part four: Special institutions and remedies of British anti-sex discrimination inemployment field. This part shows us the whole picture of remedy procedure through theintroduction of Commission for Equality and Human Rights, ACAS and employment tribunal.Part five: Evaluation and reference of legal system of British anti-sex discrimination in employment field. This part firstly concludes the characteristic and deficiency of the legal system and then establishes the use of reference to China, which forms the crucial part of the theme.
