Contemporary Value Of Marx's Alienation Theory

Alienation has been a hot topic in modern philosophical discussion. The concept of alienation was firstly presented in Marx's Economic and Philosophic Manuscript of 1844 which was a foundation of Marx's thought. And his theories of Philosophy, Political Economics and Communism thoughts were elucidated based on this foundation. So alienation theory plays a very important role in Marx's entire ideological system. This thesis is to make a theoretical reference for modern people accepting and developing Marx's alienation theory and to contribute to an integrated development of human being by a deep analyzing and explaining the formation and development of Marx's alienation theory and by making a combination of Marx's alienation theory and the Alienation phenomenon in the progress of our generation's development based on some classical works of alienation theory in various periods.This thesis includes following parts: The Introduction explores the significance of studying Marx's alienation theory in modern time by introducing the current situation of this project. Part One makes a carding of the origin and evolution of alienation theory. It stresses on the whole process of the formulation and development of Marx's alienation theory. This part also has a further analysis and an objective comment on the development of Marx's alienation theory in western society. Part Two discusses the alienation of contemporary people on the perspective of Marx's alienation theory. It lays stress on analyzing the formulations of Marx's alienation theory in different fields, and points out the inevitability and its positive effect, as well as its negative effect for the development of the society. Part Three discusses the counteraction of people's alienation on the perspective of Marx's alienation theory and explores the possible paths of counteracting by making a combination of Marx's alienation theory and his theory on people's integrated development to show that the development of alienation is a combining process of promoting and rejecting. Conclusion: we are supposed to make a contribution to the development of our society by properly recognizing and researching the alienation phenomenon that we are facing base on Marx's alienation theory.
