The Chinese and Jewish communities are two important ethnic groups in Australia today. The majority of the members of both communities have immigrated since 1945. This study aims to analyse the similarities and differences between these two communities, both of which have a homeland with dispersed a diaspora. The study will also seek to gain an understanding of how these two communities have responded to the challenges of maintaining their separate cultural identity within the framework of multiculturalism in Australia. The socio-economic patterns of the communities, their political allegiances and the way they organise themselves will also be examined. There is large population of Chinese and Jewish immigrants in many parts of the world and they share similar aspects of culture, politics and economics but also have significant differences. Chapter 3 will give us, on the deep level, the economical developments of these two ethnic groups. In this section, the article will analyze the data on Chinese and Jewish economical structure, explore their reasons. The next chapter, which is the most important part of this essay, will describe these two communities' cultures. In this chapter, four key aspects, which are education, marriage, language and religion, will be explored to explain how these two ethnic groups maintain their own traditions via statistics analyzed. Chapter 5 will study and summarize these two communities' identities of their own nations. In the end of this article, it will integrate the challenge and the chance between Australian Chinese and Australia Jews surrounded by the multi-culture. It will also summarize the shortage of this research and hopefully set the gate of studying this comparison field.
