During the setting up process of Marxism national views of history in China, the first generation of Marxist historians such as Lu Zhenyu, Jian Bozan, Fan Wenlan and Guo moruo have made vital contributions. This paper will make systematic comb and summary as for the formation background of their national history views, main contents and historical values and so on. Besides the introduction and conclusion, the paper has five parts. Introduction part is the overview on Lu Zhenyu, Fan Wenlan, Jian Bozan and Guo moruo's points of national history by academic scholars, topic reasons, values and information sources and so on. The first part, the Chinese Marxist historians'overviews of national history. First, the reasons for the formation and development with regard to ethnic Chinese Marxist historians view. Through the analysis of its causes and background point out that the social historians "inner participation" to a large extent affected the formation of their national history. Second, the basic meaning of Marxist ethnic viewpoint and the overview of Chinese historians'writing on the history of the Chinese nation. Focuses on their study of Chinese national history to point out that their study was guided by Marxist ethnic history viewpoint and historical materialism of Marxism, accurately reflected the history of the development of all ethnic groups in China, and carried out systematic theoretical conclusion on the historical development of the Chinese nation. The second part, the Chinese Marxist historians discussed the Han Chinese ethnic origin and ethnic formation. Firstly, Lu Zhenyu's point on Chinese race origin. He pointed out that China is one of human origin of the Holy Land. In Ancient times, our ancestors lived multiplying in the native soil. China is the birthplace of Mongoloid and also the place where the Mongoloid branches are concentrated. Secondly, we explored the Fan Wenlan's statement of the formation of the Chinese nation to show that its not only used Stalin's theory of four elements of national formation for reference, but also emphasized the particularity of Chinese history that the Han Chinese in the Qin and Han had formed. The third part, the Chinese Marxist historians'cognition on the history of China's ethnic relations. The five aspects including the mainstream of ethnic relations in the history, the marriage among the ethnics, national integration and national assimilation, ethnic separatism, and aggression and anti-aggression of ethnic war are introduced and commented. The fourth part, the Chinese Marxist historians'view on the history of China's ethnic equality. It is necessary to correctly treat the history of China's equality issues, both against Han chauvinism, and also against the narrow-minded nationalism. The fifth part, the Chinese Marxist historians'evaluation on national heroes. The general ideas of their evaluation on national heroes in Chinese history, the evaluation on national heroes in the domestic national struggle were introduced and analyzed. The conclusion part gives overall evaluation of the great four historians'position and function of ethnic history viewpoint in the research of Maximum ethnic history.
