The German neo-nazi party NPD has not been paid enough attention by Chinese researchers. This essay tries to use materials which I have mastered to explain the naissance and development of the aforesaid party. The introduction discussed the classification of neo-nazi and its organizations, raised the question which is about to be solved and introduced relevant researches both at home and aboard, laying the foundation for the whole essay. The main part can be divided into four chapters. The first chapter is mainly about the continuance of early post-war nazi and the naissance of neo-nazi. The nineteen years, starting from the end of the second world war to the establishment of NPD, is a period of time when the remains of Nazi and numerous neo-nazi organizations sprouted up, the two forces of which recombined all kinds of neo-nazi, nationalism and racialism powers in German society, laying a social foudation for the establishment of NPD. Meanwhile, as the core of early post-war nero-nazi, these organizations became the pioneer and founder of NPD.The second chapter explains the naissance and development of NPD in details. I analyzed the guiding principle, propaganda slogans and other campaigns in order to explain the political goal, the rising and decline of this party. The rapid rising of NPD was attributed to the economic crisis in 1960s, but with the inception of Grand Coalition Government and the recovery of German economy, this rapid rising did not continue during the 1969 federal election. Moreover, the dispute between the conservative force and the radical force had never stopped. Consequently, during the 1970s, the development of NPD ceased and it was until mid-1980s that the party restarted due to the cooperation with German People's Union. The third chapter analyzed the influence of various organizations of NPD, including the composition of supporters and members, the junior organization and the publications in the development of NPD. The social composition of NPD supporters had obvious contradictions with the party's political and social purpose, which made it difficult to increase supporters. The junior organization of NPD became creative powers of neo-nazi and expanded its influence among young people. The publication of NPD took the role of propaganda but did not show enough influence. The fourth chapter analyzed the relationship between NPD and other neo-nazi groups and neo-nazi parties. In front of the risk of being prohibitted, it was impossible for NPD to organize large-scarle and obvious riots, so the cooperation and contact was concealed. Meanwhile, the German post-war neo-nazi parties were all limited by German democratic and legal system. They also had defects in the social mobilization regime and were faced with discords in and out of parties. All these factors have kept neo-nazi parties away from acquiring political success. The conclusion part introduced the activities of NPD after the reunification.
