The Study Of Development Of The Hui And Han Minzu Relationship About Hui Ethnic Community In Shun He District In Kai Feng City

Hui Ethnic Community in Shun He district in Kai Feng City is one of the five National Urban Ethnic Districts and the Hui people there have been living with Han People for a long time. As the dispersion of the residence, the main external communication object of Hui ethnic is Han people. The interaction between the two ethnics is relatively frequent. Thus, many kinds of ethnic issues has emerged and had a wide influence. Therefore, the study of minorities in this region, ethnic relationship and policy needs can promote the innovation of concepts and system in relevant field. This study will not only contribute to social stability, but also contribute to the implementation of the China's Central Areas Economy Rising Strategy, economic sustainable development and the building of well-off society.The paper used ethnic relationship in this area to represent the general situation of Hui and Han ethnic relationship in this region all over the country. Based on Ethnology and Sociology as theoretical support and combined with historical documents and data, the paper reviewed the ethnic relations in this district in history through interviews and questionnaire as survey methods, and measured and reflected the ethnic relationship in this district from five aspects at micro-level:(1) Political relationship, including the effects of the implementation of ethnic policy, degree of ethnic conflict resolution and the proportion of cadres in minorities. (2) Economic relationship, including ethnic industry development status and the government financial policy support for Hui ethic community. (3) Cultural relationship, including customs and the measure of the ethnic awareness. (4) Social relationship, including settlement patterns, intermarriage status. (5) Religion relationship, including religion development situation and freedom of religious belief situation. Based on the survey and investigation at the micro-level, the paper analyzed and extracted the characteristics of Hui and Han ethnic relations and the factors affecting the relations between the two ethnics in this region at present at the macro-level, summarized the relations between the Hui and Han ethnics and proposed measures to be taken for a harmonious relationship between the two ethnics.
