The Development And Evolvement Of American Policies On Uzbekistan After Cold-War

Since Uzbekistan became an independent country,relashionsips between America and Uzbekistan go through big ups and downs.However,American policy on Uzbekistan,which is different on stages and focus on Uzbekistan's strategical position, is comparably even,and cooperation between them is main in military field.This thesis was plotted three stages by "9.11" event and "Andijan"event.The paper expounds American policies on Uzbekistan in the three stages saparatly and analyize motivations to issue the policies and influence they brought.The development of American policies on Uzbekistan aims at expressing concrete measures and tactics, not at changing objectives essentialy.American policies on Uzbekistan is pragmatism and egoism.America is one and only super power in the world nowadays,and Uzbekistan is the potantial power in Central Asian region.China has her own interests in Central Asia,so,the study on Uzbekistan is necessary and significant.
