| Through exploring juridical charateristic and essential feature of Mafia-style organizations, this thesis attempted to reveal its general law in the process of forming and developing it, for the purposes of finding out the possibility of completely eliminating the social environment in which the crime of Mafia-style organizations has been produced.According as related legislations, the article summarized the juridical charateristics of Mafia-style organizations which-consist of four parts:organized structure, economic strength, violent behavior and illegal control, and recognized the essential feature of Mafia-style organizatons as the publicly illegal control over normal society. On the basis of this, as well as connecting the newest practice about cracking down on. To sum up in the end: it is the collusion of'officers with Mafia'that is the principal source of crime of Mafia-style organizations, therefore, the key to crack down on Mafia-style organizations is to crack down on'umbrella', and the crucial part of cracking down on'umbrella'is based on the juridical independence.
