On The Cultivating Model For Australian Elite Athletes

Athletes are considered to be the key factor and fundamental driving force for the sustainable development of the competitive sports; and it plays an important role in the competitive sports.So the cultivation of the elite athletes is caused by the countries'attention. The research on the cultivating model for Australia's elite athletes can help us to grasp the operation process and the development path of Australian elite athletes. On this basis, it also helps us draw lesions from its model of elite athletes, and has important significance to enrich the theory of our elite athletes' cultivation and the current reformation of the elite athletes'cultivating system.This paper analyzes by literature review, logic analysis and case study the cultivating model of Australian elite athletes. This paper tries to generalize the track of Australian elite athletes through analyzing the cultivating model of Australian elite athletes, and on this basis, it receives the correct conclusion and data, which provides a more basic and accurate reference for the future research. What is more, the study is to try to provide valuable reference for our current reformation of the elite athletes' cultivating system.At first, this study analyzes the Australian sports development from the social foundation for sports development. It discusses the relationship between sports development and the various factors which include the Australian economic system, historical background, geographical features, cultural characteristics and the educational system. The study finds that Australian market economy system, the historical background of being former British colony and large-scale migration, the unique geographical environment of island, the culture characters' of England as the main body of the multi-cultural identity and foster all-round development of the educational concepts together constituted the development foundation of Australian sports. Secondly, this paper researches the Australian sports system. Studies suggest that in the sports management system, Australian Sports Commission is the leader on the operating mechanisms of the management of the Australian sports, and it widely cooperates with the social sports organizations such as the National Sport Federations, the General Assembly of Australian Sports Federations and Australian Olympic Committee; The Sports Development Board of states is in charge of the development of sports in the state; the sports clubs are the main part in the carrying out sports activities. All these together constitute the management system of the Australian sports.On this basis, this paper also analyzes the operation process of cultivating model, the characteristics and the forming basis for the cultivating model of Australian elite athletes.Studies shows that Australian primary and secondary schools and the sports clubs are the cultivating path; the Australian Institute of Sport constitutes the main training base; scholarship programs, education and career services formed the elite athletes' guarantee; the level of high-quality coaches, reasonable operating mechanism between training and learning, and reservation of the contradictions between training and study are the strategies of Australian elite athlete'cultivation. This study also finds that the connection between training in Australian institute of sport and learning in college, the comprehensive development of education concept, the operation of the connection of government and society, and the wide range of young athletes are the main features of the cultivation model.The article also believes that Australian unique historical and cultural characteristics, education philosophy, the development of mass sports are the base of the cultivation model of Australian elite athletes.Finally, the paper made a whole conclusion about the cultivating model of Australian elite athletes, and provided reference for our current sports system reform. The comprehensive development is the core of elite athletes'cultivation; the connection of Australian institute of sport and college cultivates the elite athletes; it resolves the problem of athletes'career path; the cultivating model of Australian elite athletes is the result of many social aspects integrated development. On the reference of this study, this article considers that we should put the comprehensive development on a key position in the elite athletes' cultivation and form the cultivation mechanism of comprehensive development; We also should go on the attempt of cultivating elite athletes in multifarious methods; Promoting the combination pattern of government with society which enriches practice of athletes'socializing cultivation.
