The origin and development of Ed.D.(Doctor of Education)is needed by the society-it is the product of the development of Ed.D. itself. It’s development also has certain problems, but in many countries, especially some developed countries, the rapid development of the Ed.D. and occupying quite proportion is an indisputable fact. Australia as a rising star of the developed countries, it’s Ed.D. cultivating model can be said to be characteristic. This article based on the development of Australian Ed.D. cultivating model, the present situation, characteristics and existing problems, analyzes the Ed.D. cultivating model in Australia:The thesis is divided into five parts:Part One is an introduction which analyzes Ed.D.in Australia,according to the current development situation of Ed.D..It has been cleared about the purpose and significance of this study, and through the analysis of the achievements of predecessors research to Ed.D., puts forward the emphases,difficulties and innovation points.The second part analyzes the cause of the generation of Ed.D in Australia. Ed.D is to adapt to social development, therefore.it is able to get the attention of the government and universities.Part three is the key part of the article, it introduces the evolution and the status quo of Ed.D.cultivating model, and summarizes the characteristics of Ed.D. cultivating model.The fourth part analyzes the problems of Ed.D. cultivating model,and aiming at the improvement.The last part briefly summarizes the present situation of Ed.D.in our country and concludes with some inspirations.
