The top 10 badminton men's double players in 2008 Olympic integral match as the objects, the important sessions in which they played against one another are observed and the placement and effect of the first three strokes in the plays are recorded in this study. The subsequent data are processed by Excel and the significant different test is conducted by SPSS 13.0. In the process of statistics analysis, data of winner and loser in each game of the sessions and in forehand and backhand court are classified, the placement and effect of each turn of service, return of service from different players in different courts are discussed and then the differences of winner and loser are compared. After 1170 services in 32 games of 13 sessions are analyzed, the following results are obvious:The present top players pay more and more attention on the quality and steadiness of each turn of service and return of service and the fault rate and scoring rate have decreased to 3.50% and 5.04% respectively. The placement of service differs in forehand and backhand court. In forehand court 45.01% of the services are in the 5th court(short service before the receiver's body ), whereas in backhand court 52.68% of the services are in the 1st court( the interior angle before net). There is a significant difference between the winner and the loser in each game with regard to the scoring rate in service and the fault and service rate in return of service, which represents that the quality of return of service influences greatly the result of game and therefore to perform well in each return of service is essential to victory.Nowadays, the ratio of deciding a game in the first three strokes has reached 26.7%, which means the first three strokes play direct effect on the game-winning more than controlling the offence. Therefore the coherence among the first and third stroke from service side and the second the fourth stroke from return side is quite important. Furthermore, the steadiness of the third three strokes under any stress should be improved in order to decrease fault rate.
