"Composition teaching should stress the development of students'ability to revise the composition on their own". The students are the true masters to modify their compositions. The teachers are supposed to guide and help students form the ability.Based on the importance of realizing that the students are the main part of the study, this paper analyzed the background of the current guidelines of elf-modification teaching. Through the research of the instructing the self-modification and the differences in the development of teaching theory as well as the practice, the discovery in the writing modification teaching, the paper initially elaborates the achievement of differences in the development of teaching theory in instructing middle school students to self-modify the compositions. The core of this paper is to start from the differences of middle school students'compositions, students'free-choice of the assessment group, according to the teacher's offer of the range of tasks, leading by the leader, the group members implement the different marking activity, sharing the differences in the activities, and regularly assessed in the competitions, displaying the results of assessment for each student find its own strategy in modifying the compositions.Studies with research method, literature search method, cases study method, action research method, this paper finds out the current situation of the students' modification in the compositions, reference to the research achievements of the differences in the development of teaching home and abroad, doing the experimental tracking of the students in a long period of time, comparing the developments of them before-and after-experiment. We find that the differences in application development of the analysis of the students and students, there are variations according to the implementation of teaching strategies, the student compositions grades have improved significantly, and students are interested in writing and get fulfillment and confidence from writing.This paper includes five parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces the current situation of the self-modification teaching. The second part states the theory basis of the difference of the development of teaching. Through the arrangement of the documents, it points the necessity and the feasibility of the application of the differences in the development of teaching theory in instructing self-modification and defining the core concept.The third part and the four part is the experimental idea and procedures of the research. It does the experiments of differences in the development of teaching theory in instructing self-modification.It also analyzes and discusses the results of the experiments.The fourth part is the conclusion. It concludes the results of the research and points the direction of further research.
