As one of the three key elements(vocabulary, phonetics and grammar), vocabulary plays a very important role in the process of language learning and communication. The writer thinks the key factor in vocabulary learning is to grasp and intelligently use vocabulary learning strategies. Therefore, it is very necessary to teach learners some useful and effective vocabulary learning strategies in order to develop their ability of vocabulary learning.Teaching practices indicate that Junior One students have some difficulty in grasping and using vocabulary in their English study.
