Research On Core Values Education Of College Students

The basic content of the core values of college students can be summarized as the four aspects of keeping a firm belief, learning to serve the country, advocating the truth, knowing honor and shame.China is in a period of social transformation, where the society has undergone tremendous changes, leading to growing diversity of people's way of life, the corresponding diverse values and values conflict. Students as part of intellectuals, the nation's hope and future of the country, are valuable human resources. Their situation not only directly determines the values of their own development, but also directly influences the fate of the party of CPC and the country's future. With a background of the society transition, the most sensitive group with knowledge, they are being influenced by the impact of social transformation, and are facing a conflict of values. Therefore, it is a major issue that by carrying out the core values education of university make a great progress to guide college students to correctly deal with the reality of diverse values, to choose the right direction in life.Based on the status of the problem and the socialist core value system, this paper mainly applies the methods of literature study and questionnaires to do a exploratory research on the core values education of college students. First of all, in reference to academic research results, the paper gives a brief explanation on the values and social core values,trys to provide a brief definition of the core values of college students, and makes an analysis of students'core values education. Secondly, based on a survey by questionnaire, which has produced the first hand information, and the processing by means of Excel software, the paper objectively analyzes the actuality of the University's core values, the problems and their causes. Lastly, it trys to build students'core values education system from the three levels of the basic principles, fundamental methods and education systems. Among them, the basic principles, including the socialist core value system as a guide, the CCP's education policy, people-oriented philosophy of education and following the ideological composition rules, etc.; basic methods, including a reasonable balance between leading and diversified orientations, a reasonable balance between dominant education and Recessive education, a reasonable balance between the rational educaition and emotional education, educators and learners to be the dialectical unity, etc.; education system can be builded from four areas,which are school education, family education,personal self-education and social education. Among them, value education in college is the leading stage in whole school education.
