Research On Mechanism Of Knowledge Sharing And Knowledge Building In Virtual Community

With the rapid development of information technology, virtual community becomes the alternative space for people's existence and social life. Virtual community help to form a kind of new social culture and community spirit and enrich people's social life. In fact, virtual community is the the shadow of the real space in virtual space. Through the network, people can communicate with each other for the same interests or demand. In virtual space, people can obtain information, go shopping, trade, and entertain.The rapid development of virtual communities draws the attention of people. As a platform to aggregate people, how to promote more communication among community members is a key to the development of virtual communities.Firstly, this thesis analyzed the essence of some concepts related to virtual community and theories about knowledge sharing to define what virtual community is, given the definition of virtual community, pointed out the internal relationship between the virtual community and knowledge sharing. Based on members'activity of knowledge sharing in virtual community, we discussed the essence of knowledge sharing from operational mechanism perspective to obtain theoretical sustains for the issue that this thesis research.Secondly, this thesis analyzed the process of knowledge building in virtual communities: the individual knowledge building and the collaborative knowledge building.Finally, we have made a discussion on the dissemination of knowledge related to two aspects mentioned above.
