The basic education curriculum reform outline pointed out that, reform has to be implemented in teaching contents and teaching methods. comparing with the past which is complex, difficult, partial and old, knowledge should be more scientific and be subject to life; emphasizing the guiding function of the teacher and the subject position of the student; and advocating new teaching mode which could train students to probe into, unite and cooperate, dare the initiative spirit voluntarily.Key concept which is the framework of biological knowledge plays a large role in the development of biological sciences. It is also the key and the crux of the biology teaching in senior middle school, and plays an important role in biology teaching. The researches in this thesis were mainly focused on the difference of key concepts in expression and teaching method between new and old biological textbook.On basis of the background of this research, the necessity, meaning and purpose and the research situation inside and outside and the introduction of biology concept teaching, to compare the differences of key concept expression by chapter between new and old textbook. The result which is presented in many forms showed that contents of new textbook are more scientific and focus on training students'cognitive ability and the initiative spirit.Based on reading a large number of documents and papers, interviewing some practical teachers, listening some quantitative classes, and combining many practical experiences, analyzing some teaching methods that could more admit the new textbook, includes:the autonomous learning, the cooperative learning, the inquiry-based teaching and forming concept by history of science using. All of them are practical and popular that was expounded in detail and in this paper, some references were made to teachers by teaching methods using.
