National educational technology plans of the United States are programmatic documents for developing education by using technology.These plans were formulated according to the different stages of development and the current situation in the information age and in order to solve the existed problems.From 1996 to 2010,the United States has made four national educational technology plans,and each new plan was made based on the previous plan results and the new problems existing in that current.The implementation of national educational technology plans for the United States provides a strong impetus for educational development and innovation by using technology,and it also accumulated a lot of valuable experience for us.In view of current development stages of educational technology in our country,learning the valuable experience of the development of national educational technology plans effectively will provide some help for a long-term and stable development of our country's education informatization.In the course of this research,we can obtain the enlightenment on the further development of our country's education informatization by comparing the development status of China's overall educational technology,which was obtained by literature analysis,and the circumstances of national educational technology plans and their implementation,which were obtained by reading and analyzing a lot of Chinese and foreign documents,reports and some websites related to American education,such as the U.S. Department of Education Web site,the White House Web site,the U.S. National Center for Education Statistics Web site,etc.The thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction.It mainly explains the background and significance, the status of such research,the contents and methods of this research.From the second part to the fourth part,it mainly analyses the development of national educational technology plans of the United States which include the background of generation and development of the plans,the main contents of the plans,the policies and measures for implementing the plans,the results of the implementation.Through analysis,we can grasp the whole picture of the national educational technology plans of the United States during the whole process of historical development. The fifth part includes the status of our country's educational technology development from which we can obtain the current development stages comparing with the United States and the existing problems,and then we can explore the references for our educational technology development during the analysis for the U.S. national educational technology plans.The six part is the conclusion.It summarizes the research and points out the shortcoming of this research.The innovation of this research reflects in the comprehensive and detailed analysis for the four national educational technology plans and revealing the relationship between the four plans,which make us grasp the whole process of the U.S. educational technology development well.And all these can provide the direction for drawing on the experience of the U.S. educational technology development effectively for us.
