The Formation And The Effect Of Christianity Belief Of The College Students In Wenzhou Area

This study investigates the cause of formation of Christianity belief of the college students in Wenzhou area who have received baptism, through a way of individual talking confidently and questionnaire,and to understand the formation of Christianity belief of the students and what the effect of their thoughts and the behaviors are, meanwhile use its favorable methods for a reference to serve the college students relating to their ideological and political education, and this study also provides a good base of the ideological and political education work on these parts of students.The results of the investigation show that the proportion of quantities of College Christians in Wenzhou area is far less than the Christians in the society.Even though Wenzhou is called the city of Jerusalem and the Christianity spreads rapidly out with the rapid economic development,and the city is full of culture of Christianity, only 1.4% of the college students are Christian, and the number is not going up significantly. Secondly, the study also finds out that as the college students who were born in 1980's and 1990's, though there are only small parts of them believe Christianity, the result shows that the main cause of them to be Christians are family reasons and the full-bodied culture environment of Christianity in the society. The exogenous reasons have occupied 87%. Thirdly, a lot of parents in Wenzhou have to go to outside the city for a long time to create and care for their business, so ignore the education of their children. This situation results in the lack of sense of belongings of their children, and makes them go to seek spiritual comfort and psychological balance from Christianity belief, and it is the internal cause of the college students christianize. Fourthly, the church doctrine is easy to understand, close to the daily life, and shows evident and strong ultimate care, and it also resolves some doubts of the youth somehow. All these factors have played important driving roles on their firm religion belief.Analyzing the thoughts and behaviors of the college Christians, we can find out that most of the Christian students have good moral conducts, such as studying earnestly, having faithful attitude, kindness, being willing to help etc. They have same points of view of love and marriage,and also the same standard of spouse choosing. They express their rejections of giving up Christianity and taking part in the communist party definitely. But for the traditional Chinese custom, they accept it in a middle way and with combination course. And it also embodies communication and combination of the western culture and eastern culture on them.In brief, the study shows that only knowing well of the cause of formation for the college students to be Christians and understanding well of their thoughts and behaviors can we do well on their ideological and political education work. And only study seriously and use the favorable factors of religion education for a reference can we improve our work on educating and guiding human thoughts.
