With the rapid development of network technology, online education increasingly highlights the unique advantages compared with traditional classroom teaching, online education because regardless of time and place constraints and the advantages of personalized learning increasing attention. However, analysis the current network course, it is not difficult to find many problems still exist, such as too much attention on the presentation of course content, but ignoring the creation of learning scenarios; the content of a single form expression; Learning resources is not not enough; As collaborative interaction between students. These problems have hindered the further development of distance education. Therefore, the design and development network for independent study courses on the smooth development of modern distance education has an important role.Based on the above understanding of the status, the author selected"independent study online course design"as research in this paper, First the author discusses the research background, status, contents and methods; then introduces the course design Theory, including self-directed learning content, features, self-directed learning under the network environment content, features, discusses the relevant learning theory of course design: constructivist learning theory, multimedia learning theory; Further more summed up the problem based on self-directed learning Under the guidance of the theory, combined with factors that affect the self-directed learning, the author propose independent study online course design framework: navigation, including course design, learning content design, the design of learning resources and interactive activities are designed; Finally, according to a framework designed to Shanghai City as a case study of rural teacher training program, the author developed two courses, and curriculum development described in detail the steps.
