This study took Mengzhe town in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture as a case study to explore the problem of learning burnout in junior high school.Mengzhe town is a multi-culture co-esists community composed mainly of Dai ethnic culture, showing the exchange between different cultures and integration trends. This study based on the literature review, using depth interviews and participant observation to investigate the school education and Buddhist education in Mengzhe town. According to the survey, junior high school students learning burnout are quite conspicuous, mainly for studying depression, misconduct, low efficacy in learning.Based on this situation, this study further analysis the cultural capital of Buddhist temples and the schools, and discusses the reproduction phenomenon. And the study found that learning burnout of junior high school students produced a variety of reasons in Mengzhe town, the fundamental reason is the school education and Buddhist temple education in pursuit of value, conflict, they both use their cultural capital with a certain amount of certain types of cultural resources of exclusive possession. By students in different fields of cultural capital, there will be an excessive burden on individuals, on learning produces a loss of feeling. After that, the influence of value conflicts on long-term produced pressure and caused the student burnout comprehensive symptoms, such as boredom, fatigue, depression and frustrations of the psychological experience, avoid learning, etc.Therefore, based on the observation and analysis of junior high school students learning burnout in Mengzhe town, this study proposed resolution strategies for learning burnout, including:To focus to the local knowledge to achieve a cultural dialogue to promote the concept of equal education, to build local the modern school education; to promote community education and family education of diversified development, and reform education practices.
