Individualism

Individualism, which is not a burgeoning word and has developed for more than 100 years, has been gradually evolved to the kernel ideology in the West, and has become the fundamental value and principle in the construction of the civil society in the West. As the change of era, the scholars'consideration and multi-explanation to individualism impel it to present new characteristics and method of development, while enlarge citizen's speech space in the process of completing the construction of civil society, and take active important effect to improve citizen's consciousness on political participation, which provide our country with precious theoretical value and inspiration in the construction of civil society. This thesis falls into four parts:The first part:brief interpretation to the concept of individualism. Through the interpretation to the concept of western individualism and the organization of the development of individualism, eliminate the existing misunderstanding about individualism in the contemporary era.The second part:the differentiation and analysis to individualism. By the contrast between individualism and communitarianism, egoism, conclude the essential of individualism to make us understand it in depth.The third part:research the development of western civil society. In the basis of the influence to civil society by individualism, expatiate the three changes from the civil society equal to politics country, the civil society separated from politics country to the civil society as the third field, indicate the effect to the development of western civil society by the value concepts of individualism as ideology, such as freedom, equality, democracy etc.The forth part:study several characteristics of the development in our civil society. Starting with the upsurge of the civil society theory in our country, analyze the existing adversity and possibility in the construction of civil society. The understanding to that issue rests with the creation of new idea to realize the democracy construction in our country rather than the concept itself.
