With the development of the socialism market economy system,the thought of individualism and the traditional collectivism have result a concussion, at the same time,the egoism which has a consanguineous connection with individualism,has run rampant in people's life. The voices of critical and praise for individualism both can be heard in society nowadays. The concussion on individualism will go against the development of socialism market system or the construction of harmonious society. So, this paper will give advices on how to carry forward or abnegate individualism. Firstly,the paper introduce all the different reviews on individualism,though they are jumbled on the conception of individualism , at the next , the paper define individualism as a unit of solipsism and self-realization. Until now,either the voice of praise or critical on individualism,they only think why we should carry forward or abnegate individualism,but few people have ever researched the inevitability of individualism.
