Abstract:Since the 90s of last century, China's mainland high school education has also been developed greatly, and realized the change from the elite preparatory education to public education. In the "National long-term educational reform and Development Plan (2010-2010)" issued in 2010, it puts forward the popularization of high school education in 2020, and clearly puts forward to establish the system of student developmental guidance in high school.This comparative study on "student developmental guidance system"of high school in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shanghai analyzes the status and role of student developmental guidance in school education, and sums up the experience and lessons from the establishing of "student developmental guidance system"in this three places. So it has important practical and theoretical significance. The paper is divided into three parts, totally including six chapters:The first part is introduction, composed by the Chapters I and II.The first chapter describes the research background and significance, and clarifies the relevant concepts with the student developmental guidance. This chapter also summarizes the relevant research,and defines the research contents and methods. The second chapter discusses the relationship between student developmental guidance and school education.Firstly,it reviewes the development and evolution of student developmental guidance and counseling in the U.S.A where is the birthplace of morden student developmental guidance.It highlights the social background when the modern student developmental guidance emerges,and the impact of the social reform movements on the student developmental guidance.Secondly,through the worldwide study of school education,the results show that student developmental guidance has become a essential educational function of schools,and take Finland,France and Japan for example,analyzes specifically the important functions of student developmental guidance in school.Finally,under the strategic themes with comprehensive implementation of quality education in mainland,through the exploration of high school development dilemma and high school students'development needs,we can know that student developmental guidance is the protection to improve the comprehensive quality of high school students.The second part is the main part of this paper, composed by the the chapter III,â…£andâ…¤. Chaptersâ…¢andâ…£mainly describe and analyze Taiwan and Hong Kong's "student developmental guidance system". This part also study the history of student counseling services in both two places,and analyze the origin and background of reform and development of student counseling services in aspects of social,economic,and cultural.In addition,the current "students developmental guidance system"in Taiwan and Hong Kong have been done a more detailed review,including the model, organization,personnel and so on.Which also focus on the difficulties faced by the guidance of Taiwanese students,and the characteristics and enlightenment of student developmental guidance in Hong Kong.Chapter V makes a brief introduction and comments on "moral education system","class teacher system" and "mental health education", which are relevant to the "student developmental guidance system" in the mainland.It analyzes the development and breakthroughs on school moral education in Shanghai,as well as the practical implementation difficulties faced.It highlights the exploration on the guidance system that school as a unit and from the actual situation in Shanghai high schools,and shows that the ordinary high school really need "student developmental guidance system".The third part is the concluding part, composed by the sixth chapter.On the basis of the first five chapters, through the comparative study on "student developmental guidance system"of high school in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shanghai,it indicates that the high school in the mainland is in the the establishment phase of studentdevelopmental guidance system,and should recognize the student developmental guidance on high degree of social development.Building high school student developmental guidance system is a inevitable choice for the mainland during the period of social transition;From the perspective of students'growing demand,student developmental guidance is the key to the healthy growth and pluralism of students,and internal needs of life.;We should establish a comprehensive model of student developmental guidance, highlighting the status and role of student developmental guidance in the school education, and really achieve the purpose that all staff are involved in the work of educating people;change the nature of the current school moral education institutions,and improve the school moral education with the concept of student developmental guidance,changing from the management of students into service for them;Current moral education in schools must be content to integration and reconstruction, so that student developmental guidance can be developmented orderly and effectively;We should establish full-time staff to guide students,clear their status in schools,improve professional level,and provide specialized preparation, etc.;The nation and regions should establish a resource library of student developmental guidance,to provide the required scale and career information for students,and provide schools the necessary social support to carry out this work.
