The number of students who have physical or mental diseases,such as the prevalence of adolescent obesity surge, bad eyesight, and poor psychological reactions and so on,has increased in last decade, This phenomenon is resulting from state academic pressure, lacking of physical exercise and overnutrition. Morever, on the one hand, the progress of civilization brings the optimization of human living environment, but it also exacerbated the decline of physical fitness for students.Because students show negative attitude and have little interest in sports learning, the frequency of students who involves in extracurricular sports activities is reducing day by day, the amount of physical activity per day is not enough for most of the students. How to improve students interests during the sports class? How to change students attitude towards sports? How to train students to do sports independently and spontaneously in their daily life? There are the problems which physical education curriculum reform should solve.Shanghai, as China's most economically developed Municipality, it implements its own sports curriculum standards, that is, Shanghai Physical Education and Health Curriculum, which adhere to the "health first", using "the development of students", "Health education" as the basic ideas.According to the basic ideas,school leaders and sports teachers should fully understand the physical condition of students to fully meet the learning needs of students in sports classes.Basing on large amount of books and literature preferences related to physical attitudes and physical activity preferences,This paper gives the literature review on some concept of physical attitudes and physical activity preferences as well as the status of study on them.In this paper, questionnaire was used.Starting from the 1117 junior secondary school students,the author knows the present attitude of Shanghai middle school students in physical attitudes and physical activity preferences, analysising the difference of attitudes from sports sex, grade, family and other aspects.Finally, this paper gets the following conclusions: 1, the students'favorite type of physical activity are:double sports, team sports, individual sports activities. Students' favorite sports activities are:outdoor adventure, aerobic exercises, combat training, dance, strength training. Students favorite sports classroom model:51.6% of the students like the same sex physical education class type; 48.4% of the students like dual gender sports class type. The aspects which influence pysical activity preferences is in the following:(1)school sites and equipment; (2) school's traditional sports and teachers' special skills; (3) The sports' popularity among students. (4) characteristics of the type of physical activity. 2, Shanghai middle school students show positive attitude toward sports. In some ways, boys pay more positive attitude towards sports than girls do; first grade students pay more positive attitude towards sports than other grade's students do; Children from low-income families pay more positive attitude towards sports than students from high income families.3, Students' pysical activity preference can influence their attitude towards sports acitivities.Students who like aerobic exercise pay more positive attitude than students who like other sports; Students who like bisexual classroom model pay more positive attitude than students who like same sex classroom model.
