Study On Shanghai Middle School Students' Physical Activity With Characteristic,Problem,and Countermeasures

This study systematically evaluates Shanghai middle school students' physical activity,which uses children and youth physical activity evaluation indicators system constructed by Active Health Kids Global Alliance.The evaluation results show that: 1)Shanghai middle school students' behaviors that contribute to overall physical activity levels are generally not high(the average grade is D-);2)at the level of settings & sources of influence,family & peers(B-)and school(B+)two indicators are higher than community & the built environment(D+)";3)the level of strategies & investments(D)survey the knowledge of social awareness of National Student Physical Health Standard through the cognition of National Student Physical Health Standard of Shanghai middle school students' parents,results show that the parents' cognition is not high.From the perspective of Human Development Index(HDI),on the basis of Shanghai middle school students' physical activity assessment results and AHKGA Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth,to make an international comparison of children and youth's physical activity.Comprehensive perspective and Report Card,sum up the relationship between HDI and children & youth's physical activity: 1)HDI is an important indicator to measure the level of human comprehensive development,while HDI is increasing,overall physical activity for children and youth are falling;2)The change of life style which is brought by the rapid development of society is the main reason for the formation of the above rules;3)“family & peers” have no relationship with HDI in the influence of children and youth's physical activity,sports concept and sports participation behavior of parents are two main factors affecting children and youth participation physical activity;4)“school” have no relationship with HDI in the influence of children and youth's physical activity too,countries or regions system and policy is the basic reason for decision "school" development;5)“community and the built environment? have positive relationship with HDI in the influence of children and youth's physical activity,HDI can reflect the construction of "community & the built environment";6)compared with AHKGA,the grade of indicators of Shanghai middle school students is lower than the average level of AHKGA,that there is a certain gap between the Shanghai middle school students on physical activity and AHKGA.Most of Shanghai middle school students' physical activity assessment results levels are still fairly low,there reflect three problems: 1)”exercise an hour everyday” are not executed as required,it lead to most of “behaviours that contribute to overall physical activity” assessment results are not ideal;2)the environment of Shanghai middle school students' not promote the them develop the habit of physical activity participation;3)the sport enviroment that family,community and school are disintegration and development imbalance,then they can't be promote the middle school students' physical activity development.Facing the facts that Shanghai middle school students' physical inactivity,in order to promote Shanghai and even the Chinese children and youth' physical activity on the future development,putting forward the following suggestions:1)facing the problem of students fitness objectly,enhancing the cognitive level of physical activity;2)drawing lessons from AHKGA,building our own the evaluation of physical activity and perfecting the standard of students fitness;3)developing the survey of students physical activity and distributing the report card of students physical activity unregularly;4)establishing the concept of construction that family sport environment are foundation of children and youth's sport environment;5)planing the ideas of construction that community sport environment and school sport environment balanced development;6)building the model of construction that "three-dimensional,integration type" children and youth's sport environment;7)promoting the government policy guidance and protection function effectively and actively.
