Physical exercise is a important way to strong the school students wills, developing the good character and promoting the overall development, it takes an irreplaceable role in the formation of Intelligence development, ideological and moral aesthetic quality of the school students. Physical self-esteem is closely related with social evaluation, which refers to the satisfied or unsatisfied feeling of the different aspects of individual self-body, it is vital to healthy development. Being the positive body and mind development period, the school students'attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem consciousness are in this stage gradually development and form , and the formation of attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem consciousness will have an important impact on lifetime sports during this period.This study the attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem from two aspects: the first one is comparing the difference between different gender and learning period adolescents of attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem, and the second one is exploring the relationship between attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem of school students in Shanghai. The 1178 subjects are the school students of Shanghai. we adopt the'exercise attitude scale'and the'physical self-perception profile scale'to explore the relationships between attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and physical self-esteem.There are significant gender differences between adolescents in attitudes-behaviors of physical activity, the boys'attitudes-behaviors of physical activity is better than the girls'; There are significant gender differences in junior middle school and high school students in the part of exercise attitudes-behaviors, especially high school students. There are significant learning period differences between adolescents in attitudes-behaviors of physical activity, the pupils'attitudes-behaviors of physical activity is better than the middle school students'; the junior middle school students'exercise attitudes-behaviors is better than high school students'。There are significant gender differences between adolescents in physical self-esteem, the boys'physical self-esteem higher than that of girls, There are significant learning period differences between adolescents in physical self-esteem, the pupils'physical self-esteem is better than the middle school students', but there is no difference in physical self-esteem between the junior middle school students and the high school students, excepting sport competence and physical attractiveness.The correlation between the total of attitudes-behaviors of physical activity and the total of physical self-esteem is positive with a correlation coefficient, except behavioral intention. The feeling of behavior and control and behavioral habit have greatest influence to physical self-esteem; the physical condition and sport competence have obviously prediction to the attitudes-behaviors of physical activity.
