With the widespread used of Internet and the rapid development of multimediaand network technology,our human has entered into information society. Educationhas become life long,more efficient and globalization .This makes the e-learningcourse become a very important research area in modern education. The networkeducators pay more attention to the design,development and implementation of elearningcourse. So,it is of great significance to research the e-learning course intheory and in practice, and develop the e-learning course adapt to the networkeducation.Currently,there are a large number of e-learning course in various subjectareas.But from the view of implementation in practice, the effect is not very well.Analyse the reason, the author think that it is because the goal of e-learning course isnot clear.By researching goal-orientation theory in the design of e-learning course andanalyzing the theory of knowledge taxonomy,in this paper the author think that thereare different types of knowledge and different curriculum goals in a e-learning course,so we should design the e-learning Course based on the goal of it and design thecourse according to the teaching objectives, and complete the e-learning course design.In practice, we take the course design and development of multimedia CAIcourseware as an example, the course is an operating skills class. According todifferent types of knowledge, the e-learning course is mainly with behavioral goal andsome formative target, and also some expressive objective. In the teaching design, weintroduced three cases, they are three teaching design cases based on three goalorientation.The teaching design based on behavioral goal is mainly in content anddesign. The teaching design based on formative target is mainly in question andcircumstance. The teaching design based on expressive objective is mainly in theactivities. After design the e-learning course, we developed the e-learning course theDesign and Development of Multimedia CAI Courseware based on the platform ofGUQIU e-learning course, and complete the implementation of each functionalmodule.And we used the e-learning course in teaching practice for a term. We surveyed the effect by questionnaire and interview. Through the data analysis, we found thatthe e-learning course has achieved good results, which indicates that it is better todesign a e-learning course based on types of knowledge,targets of course and goals ofteaching. We hope the research can inspires the design and development of e-learningcourse in the future.
