Constructivism is the significant theory of learning in western society in these years. Recently, more and more scholars of educational theories are attracted to the study of the theory of constructivism and its application, because its main idea is challenging in many ways to the traditional teaching theory. In the process of jointly developing a scientific project with my collegues, I gained an intemitate knowledgement of the significancy of Constructivism. By analyzing the project-based learning process, I verified the Constructivism interpretation about the process of learning. By the research to the theory itself and Construtivism-oriented Learning Environment, I put forward the principle to design Construtivist Learning Environment, which is cored with the designing of phenomenaria. And then, I apply what I have learnt to the development of olaris7 Learning Environment? At last, I define the applicable scope of Constructivism, and what抯 more I emphasize that Constructivism is not only the challenge but also the dialectic negation to the traditional theaching theory. The dissertation is composed of four parts, which are shown as follows:The first part concentrates on analyzing the project-based process of learning and therefore verifies the theory. This is followed by providing the principle of designing the Constructivist Learning Environment, which can help us to have a better understanding of Constructivism. The Third part is exploring how to apply computer science to the development of Constructivist Learning Environment on the basis of Constructivism. And finally, the thesis is closed by defining the applicable scope of Constructivism and rethink Constructivism.
