| Abstract of Contents With scientific and technological development particularly information technologies at high-speed, people give the value of mathematical using more and more attentions. It is much concerned in the mathematical field for which many problems can be solved by using mathematical knowledge, and the Mathematical Modeling that something in present world was solved by designing mathematical model is also brought about. In qualify- oriented education, it抯 very grand meaningful to organize students to take part in Mathematical Modeling. In overseas?school, Mathematical Modeling has certain module. In our country, Mathematical Modeling only carries out in some university, and it isn抰 given attention enough, even can抰 be seen in the middle school. So, it抯 more necessary to take up the systematic study of Mathematical Modeling and its teaching in our middle school. In this article, I explicate systematically on Mathematical Modeling in the middle school in five parts. I have expounded the importance to study the Mathematical Modeling in the middle school at first. The second, there are some definitions about Mathematical Modeling in middle school. The third, I had some conclusions that Mathematical Modeling is valuable to cultivate the student抯 meta cognizance, to improve his creative thinking, to fonn his personality, and so on. The fourth, I抳e instructed methods of Mathematical Modeling in the middle school. And here in, I have generalized the model of the Mathematical Modeling according to the mathematical teaching content of middle school, and introduced some regular method of Mathematical Modeling by using real examples. The fifth, I have analyzed the factor influenced the ability of student抯 modeling, and I have a statement that some principle must be followed in the process of teaching Mathematical Modeling, I have devised some tactics and methods in the process of teaching. It is a hard and meaningful work to carry out teaching Mathematical Modeling in middle school. Now it also corresponds with the thought of æ‡æŠveloping schemata of reforming in primary education?which was made by Chinese Ministry of Education in June 7,2001. There is plenty of room for it to carry Out in the new reforming. This article is only a preliminary study about Mathematical Modeling in middle school.
