Mathematics comes from life,but at the same time serves life and is higher than life.Therefore,in learning mathematics,it is necessary to combine actual life and build mathematical models in order to better solve problems.The application of mathematical modeling in mathematics learning has a pivotal position,but the idea of mathematical modeling has not been paid much attention by students and some teachers,and many revisions of the experimental textbooks of the general mathematics curriculum have not involved much in the idea of mathematical modeling.There is a lack of training for students’ mathematical modeling ability.This article first explores the current status and existing problems of mathematical modeling teaching and learning through research and analysis of mathematical modeling ability,referencing relevant literature at home and abroad,and highlights the necessity of further research in this article.Secondly,a survey was conducted on the current situation of cultivating middle school students’ mathematical modeling ability,in order to gain a detailed understanding of their level of mathematical modeling ability and identify their shortcomings and weaknesses;Understand the cultivation of teachers’ awareness,methods and strategies of students’ "modeling",teachers’ understanding of and emphasis on mathematical modeling ideas,and whether teachers have applied mathematical modeling ideas in teaching and teach new methods to improve students’ mathematical modeling ability.Then,based on the current situation of insufficient mathematical modeling ability among students,a key competency framework for cultivating mathematical modeling ability among junior high school students is proposed,as well as design principles for training strategies.On this basis,from the perspective of teachers,combined with the analysis process of typical examples,specific methodologies and training strategies are proposed for cultivating students’ mathematical modeling ability.On this basis,for the three common sections in mathematics-"Functions","Geometry and Algebra","Activities and Exploration",as well as the detailed teaching design cases related to mathematical modeling in the micro topic of the general review before the high school entrance examination,which are used to cultivate students’ mathematical modeling ability level.At the same time,through case study classroom observation method,the effectiveness of the training methods and strategies proposed in this article for cultivating junior high school students’ mathematical modeling ability is evaluated by comparing the changes in students’ listening status,enthusiasm for learning mathematics,and enthusiasm for answering questions before and after receiving systematic training in mathematical modeling ability,as well as analyzing the results of the changes and further teaching guidance.To help teachers find effective teaching strategies,optimize teaching,help students solve learning difficulties,improve learning efficiency,and better implement the improvement of mathematical core literacy and the cultivation and enhancement of mathematical modeling ability.The introduction of core mathematical literacy emphasizes that mathematics teaching is no longer simply the transmission of mathematical knowledge,which requires teachers to teach flexibly based on understanding students’ learning difficulties and combining their own teaching experience with targeted teaching.This thesis will help teachers to adjust their teaching strategies according to students’ cognitive situation and the law of physical and mental development,to develop middle school students’ mathematical modeling ability,and then to better improve students’ mathematical subject literacy. |
